I read that upstart OAN network is suing Rachel Maddow and Comcast/NBC-Universal for $10 Million in a defamation case. It centered around an alledged comment from Ms. Maddow that the network was literally Russian Propaganda.
This should be a fascinating case to watch given that Ms. Maddow is reputedly very meticulous about what she presents and in those rare cases where she gets it wrong she typically owns the mistake and cleans up her mess.
But I can't help but have a little schadenfreude at the prospect of a legal case. Because there's this thing in law called Discovery, and OAN could be compelled to disclose all sorts of information it may not want to. Like who are their investors and the sources of funds those investors used To fund their operations for starters. Let's see where this goes.
